I’m a planner junkie and a crochet junkie, naturally, so these little crochet bow clips make my heart happy. I am able to make them each in about 5 or 6 minutes, and that includes the part where I’m securing the bow to the clip.
I don’t typically sell any of my crochet items – I think once I begin to sell these things, it will become a job and I worry that I’ll begin to find my desire to create fading – however, there’s a family reunion coming up and everyone is invited to bring things to sell at the family garage sale…. so I’m tempted.
How to Make Crochet Bow Clips

Materials
- Scraps of cotton yarn
Tools
- 4.5mm hook
- paper clip
Instructions
- Ch 5, 1SC in 2nd Ch from hook
- 1 SC in next two ch
- 6 DC in last ch. Do not turn.
- Working along the other side SC in next 3 CH
- 6 DC in last Ch
- SL ST to second SC you made at the beginning of the pattern
- Fasten off and leave a long tail
- Wrap tail several times around bow, and then several times through paper clip
- Secure with hot glue if needed
There are a lot of crochet bow patterns on the internet, but I believe the one I’m sharing above to be the simplest after trying many versions – some more successfully than others.
These little bows would also look adorable attached to hair clips and keychains and since they work up so quickly, you could likely do 10 or 11 in an hour!
