Small Crochet Granny Square Earrings

Small Crochet Granny Square Earrings

I’ve been crocheting a long time, but it wasn’t until I was looking through my earring stash to find earrings that match a new pale blue dress that I realized that I don’t actually own any crochet granny square earrings – which is weird because I have an affinity for granny squares.

Creating crochet granny square earrings isn’t hard – but sizing them right takes some thought – today I’m only using two colors but instead of yarn, I’m using embroidery floss, and I’ll be using a 3.0mm hook to get them to work up to the size that I want.

Even if this is your first time making a granny square, just keep in mind that if you can make a magic circle, chain, double crochet, and slip stitch, you’re already well on your way to finishing these with ease.

I made my first square when I was around 20 years old and if you follow me on tiktok then you know that

There are a lot of things that excite me about these earrings, starting with the fact that when made with embroidery floss they literally cost pennies to create. I also love that the color possibilities are absolutely endless and I want to keep making them until I run out of options.

Finally, the best part is that you can work up a pair of crochet granny square earrings in about ten minutes.
